DAY 10
When we directly engage with the corner there are a set of overlapping moments which prompt subtle conflicts. Two differently orientated surfaces connect. Both are dominant but expand in alternate directions. Shading, or the diffraction of light oscillating between the surfaces, helps to define the junction of those two surfaces. The corner becomes a THING- a location to present.
Inserting a mark into these new locations can act as a binding agent or counterpoint to their new surroundings. They help shift our visual interpretation of the corner and the surrounding spaces / surfaces they connect to. Taking the‘ drawn’ mark off the surface may simply require a slight‘ bend’ or modulation, which the corner offers.
We can work here.
