1900s-50s BLACK AMERICANA PAPER EPHEMERA
COLLECTION ....................................................... PH $250-350
More than 30 items of racially themed items of Black
Americana, mostly from the first decades of the 20th century.
Most of these are used postcards, with some other odd items,
including stereoscopic cards, a vintage KKK pamphlet, a
vintage piece of picked cotton, a Viewmaster slide for ‘Little
Black Sambo,’ some random photos and a vintage 1957 ‘Time
Magazine’ featuring Martin Luther King Jr. These are almost
entirely derogatory and stereotypical images of AfricanAmericans. Besides the racially charged nature of the postcards,
in general they are in Fine condition. Interesting group for the
collector of Black Americana.
