Of historical note, Dwyre (1880-1948) was lifelong diplomat, including service as U.S. Consul in Maracaibo, 1921; Fort William, 1922; Port Arthur, 1922; Mexico City, 1929-32; U.S. Vice Consul in Guadalajara, 1926; and U.S. Consul General in Montevideo, 1943.
