Philatelic display signed by all nine Supreme Court justices
plus Warren E. Burger as recently retired Chief Justice. At the
center of the display is plate block of 10 postage stamps from
1950 honoring the 150th Anniversary of Washington, DC,
showing the Supreme Court building. Signatures include:
William H. Rehnquist as Chief Justice, Warren E. Burger as
retired Chief Justice, Byron White, Harry A. Blackmun, John
Paul Stevens, Antonin Scalia, Wm J. Brennan Jr., Thurgood
Marshall, Lewis F. Powell Jr. and Sandra D. O’Connor. Signed
on a sheet of 8"x10½” Court stationery, affixed to white board.
Fine condition. This display was presented to retiring speaker
Tip O’Neill. (University Archives LOA).

Official Cuban document signed by Fulgencio Batista as
President. Typed three page document in Spanish, also signed
by the Prime Minister and Minister of Justice, with blue state
seal affixed at bottom. Dated November 22, 1957, at Havana,
Cuba, document lists articles for ‘Law no. 14.’ Paper loss to
the left edges, some scattered light toning. Very good.

Rare document signed by Cuban revolutionary Camilo
Cienfuegos only weeks before his disappearance. From August,
1959, a Republic of Cuba National Institute of Savings and
Housing bond (7"x3"), nicely signed in blue ink on the back as
‘Camilo 100fuegos.’ In October, 1959, the airplane of this
cohort of Castro & Che disappeared and was presumed lost.
Slight wear and soiling, still very good. (University Archives

A RARE large poster-style Certificate (11½”x17½”), featuring
oversized images of Marx and Lenin, presented to one ‘Mariano
Roque Izquierdo’ for having completed 522 hours of volunteer
labor with the ‘Red Battalion.’ At bottom are rubber-stamped
signatures of ‘Lazaro Pena’ (Secretary General) and ‘Che’ as
Minister. Guevara felt that ‘voluntary work is the genuine
expression of the communist attitude toward work...’ Certificate
is on heavyweight paper, uniformly wrinkled, soiled, folded.
There are several small pinholes and plastic tape repair on
reverse. Very RARE and extremely historically significant

Set of 5 Monaco Wedding stamps on card, Grace Kelly has
signed ‘Grace de Monaco’ on one of the stamp & Prince Rainier
has signed bottom right of the card. Stamps lightly attached to
the card at their top edges. Very fine condition.

SENT FROM SOVIET UNION .................... PH $10,000-15,000

Two page handwritten letter from Kennedy assassin Lee Harvey
Oswald to his brother Robert. Sent from the USSR, dated
November 30, 1961, Lee tells of waiting for [exit] visas for
himself and his new wife Marina, of gift packages he sent, and
requests that he send him ‘a football (they only have round
ones here)...these Russians seem interested in learning how to
play...together we’ll show them a little bit of american sport.’
Letter was Warren Commission Exhibit No. 308 as pictured
on pages 849-50, Volume XVI of the Warren Commission
Hearings. Very fine. (University Archives LOA).

1962 USSR AIRMAIL ENVELOPE FROM OSWALD
TO MOTHER ..................................................... PH $3000-4000

Warren Commission Exhibit No. 198. Three days before Lee
Harvey Oswald, his wife and baby daughter leave for the USA,
while in Moscow, he addresses an envelope to his mother.
Typical pictorial Soviet 6 kopeck airmail envelope with
additional 10k stamp added, postmarked Moscow 5/31/62,
hand addressed to Mrs. M. Oswald in Vernon, Texas. Received
there 6/6/62 and forwarded to Crowell, TX. Photocopy of letter
