SPA (UK) Loughborough Branch
Our members enjoyed their day out at the SPA (UK) Mahila
Samelan in Leicester, the Seniors Sneh Milan in Birmingham
and the Sports Day at Leeds University (taking part in
badminton and 5-a-side football).
Many members took part in a sponsored walk and other
charity events to raise funds for Children in Need and
the local Rainbow Hospice. See the special Kilimanjaro
challenge featured in the Sandesh in which Champakbhai
(our Secretary) was one of the participants. More events are
planned to help collect funds in the near future.
For a small branch, demographic changes resulting from
families moving due to job opportunities and greener
pastures, has a big impact on branch operation. However,
we continue to stay positive and encourage our members to
enhance awareness of our traditions and culture.
