“ Well done to our Youth team for their achievements at the Sports Day ...”

The past year has been busy in Coventry . In addition to our normal branch events , Coventry hosted the Golf tournament and the Seniors Sneh Milan .
The golf tournament was very successful once again . The sun shone , participants and spectators enjoyed the day and the social event in the evening . Thanks to all members who contributed in raising over £ 750 for the SPA ( UK ) ITF Education Fund . It will be used to fund children ’ s education in India .
Over 950 members attended the Senior Sneh Milan which was held at Sports Connexions . The entire programme ran to schedule . We wish to thank the following :
• All the participants from various branches for the entertainment
• All the volunteers from branches for their help during the lunch
• All the members of Coventry branch for their hard work and efforts before the event , during the event and afterwards with clearing up . We are very grateful to the young members who volunteered to help . We had members between the ages of 10 - 18 who did a fabulous job throughout the day
• SPA ( UK ) for all their support and allowing us to host the event
• All the senior members who attended the event , as without them the event could not have been possible
Sports Connexions were very pleased with the way we handled such a large event and they commented that SPA ( UK ) had handled the complete day so wonderfully that they had very little to do .
Our Youth team have played an active role this year . Ravi Mistry , our Youth Leader , organised a darts social evening which was well supported by Leicester branch and members from other branches and through the event raised over £ 200 for charity .
At this year ’ s Sport Day , our members did very well and congratulations go to :
• Sanjay Prajapati , Badminton junior boys winner
• Umi and Nisha Prajapati , Badminton ladies doubles runners up
• Vannesa Mistry , Pool ladies winner
• Prakash Mistry , Table tennis mens 40 + singles runners up
Well done to our Youth team for their achievements at the Sports Day and also for their support and help at our events throughout the year .
Finally on behalf of all the members of SPA Coventry Branch , we wish all SPA branches and their members a joyous Diwali and may the year ahead bring Good Health and Happiness in your lives .
