Masters Level Achievement

by Jaishri D Mistry , Preston
What was started as a ‘ Reiki ’ course by Khushalbhai Kumar in 2001 at Gujarat Hindu Society in Preston , is now known as the Holistic Living Course ( HLC ). The ‘ Holistic ’ approach , which represents the ‘ whole ’, is the Physical , Emotional and the Spiritual nature of human beings . Having this understanding , along with the tools to look after yourself in day-to-day life , not only benefits your general health and well-being but that of the wider community too .
Over the past fifteen years , just over 850 people have been through HLC courses at Levels 1 , 2 or 3 . This achievement has only been possible because of the willingness , commitment , dedication and motivation by Khushalbhai Kumar of Preston , with the full support of Nirmalaben Kumar ( his wife ).
Khushalbhai is also an active member of Preston Prajapati Samaj and Prajapati Samaj is very fortunate to have someone with Khushalbhai ’ s wisdom in this modern era , which was only made possible by his late Guru Swami Atmanand Saraswati and his late Reiki Guru Harshadbhai Desai . Since 2012 , the HLC courses have been running under the Holistic Living Group ( HLG ).
Holistic Masters Award 2016
In 2011 , ten students had completed HLC3 Masters course . Once again , on 4th September 2016 , the Holistic Living Group ( HLG ) held a Masters Award Ceremony at Myerscough College , Preston where 9 students were awarded the HLC3 ‘ Master Level ’ certificates . Congratulations to Alison Livesey , Dinesh Mistry , Jaishri Mistry , Urmila Daya , Jasumati Mistry , Lisa Suthar , Sushila Mistry , Usha Mistry and Nirmala Kumar .
Their journey began many years back which started with a ten-day HLC1 course , followed by annual weekend residential HLC2 courses , and finally a five-year intensive HLC3 Masters course .
The HLC1 level equipped the students with a ‘ lifelong toolkit ’ comprising of ‘ Pranayam ’ ( abdominal breathing techniques ), Reiki ( Universal Energy ) and Non-toxic medication ( Homeopathy , Ayurveda ). It also provided an excellent foundation into understanding the external environment and its impact on mind ( M ), emotion ( E ) and physical body ( P ) as well as their effect on one ’ s holistic well-being .
