meeting in Bradford in May 1998. SPA( UK) agreed to help Luton by providing finance to arrange a meeting of Luton Prajapatis and the meeting would be attended by Office Bearers of SPA( UK). Letters were sent to all known Prajapati families of Luton and the District and a meeting was held in June 1998 where around 60 people attended in the presence of the SPA( UK) Office Bearers. It was agreed by all present to revive SPA Luton branch. A Committee was formed and office bearers were elected. SPA( UK) returned the money that belonged to Luton Branch from 1978.

Having learnt all this from Shree Kantilal, I can see how passionate Thakorbhai, Navinbhai, and Pravinbhai are about keeping the Samaj going, as they still attend our meetings and are very active committee members today.
Since the revival in 1998 we have had on the Committee- Shree Yogeshbhai G Mistry, Shree Ashock P Mistry, and Shrimati Bhartiben N Mistry. Sadly, since its revival we have seen Committee members come and go, and some have returned.
Our First President was Shantilal Mistry, our Secretary was Yogeshbhai and our Treasurer Deepesh K Lad. We are still a small branch with willing and dedicated volunteers that keep the branch progressing vibrantly, and we continue to meet regularly on a monthly basis. Over the years we have grown in knowledge and experience in understanding what the community likes. We have arranged a number of trips to Blackpool, Great Yarmouth, the Lake District, and the Hare Krishna Temple in Radlett to name just a few. We participate in badminton, table tennis and recently swimming. We hold Bhajans every year during the month of Shradh.

This past year has been rather quieter compared to last year. We orgainsed a beach trip to Weston Super Mare and then followed by our Bhajan Bhojan during Shradh where funds were collected for The Nepal Earthquake. Sadly, we arranged a few other events but they were not as fruitful due to the lack of interest from the local community, but we all have quiet months and we shall carry on.
On a more positive note, we at Luton Branch would like to wish All Prajapatis a very Happy Diwali and Nutan Varsh na Abhinandan.
