Introduction The work of the SPA( UK) International Trust Fund( SPAITF) is one of the most important and valuable work our Association does for our community. It is the‘ diamond’, a shining example of what we should be doing more of. SPAITF supports young students and Prajapati mandals in India as well as major projects such as‘ Water Aid’ and the Nepal Earthquake appeal. The work of SPAITF gives SPA movement in England the most return on our investment for a number of reasons. Firstly the programme demonstrates our leadership, secondly, the project enhances our community reputation, thirdly, it makes a direct impact on individual motivation and self pride and fourthly, we are making a difference to lives of individuals and their families, by providing some financial support / security.
Students support Since the start of SPAITF programme, the committee have so far supported almost 229 individual young students in India and our major projects have made a profound difference in the areas of devastations. Over the past 12 months( June 2015 to May 2016) SPAITF committee received 40 applications and supported 70 % of those applicants with financial contribution towards their college / university fees to the value of £ 5,425. Some of the students we provided assistance to are studying subjects such as Pharmacy, Mechanical
