This was the 4th Seniors Sneh Milan which was held in Coventry on Sunday 5th June 2016. It was hosted by the Coventry branch at Sports Connexion, Leamington Road, Coventry. We anticipated approximately 900 guests and to be honest, this number was not far off, which shows there is tremendous enthusiasm from our Senior members.
Guests were welcomed at the gate by the Coventry branch volunteers. Once inside the hall, they were directed straight to the dining area for breakfast where a selection of tea, coffee, fruit juice and snacks awaited. Volunteers from all other branches also did a great job of assisting throughout the day. After breakfast, the Seniors were asked to take their seats. As there was time before the Aarti, Prathna and Shradhanjali, Khusalbhai Kumar, the Reiki Grand Seniors committee members with past members. and explain the art of abdominal breathing which is referred to as Pranayam in Yoga. After the rituals were performed, Kamleshbhai, Secretary of Coventry branch, gave information on Health and Safety. This was followed by Swagat geet from Coventry branch.
The next part of the programme was followed with a warm welcome by Kamleshbhai, then Vasantbhai, President of the Seniors Committee. Taraben and Natubhai then took over the control of the programme who honored the Chief Guests; Balubhai Morar and wife Jasuben of Coventry, Thakorbhai Jivanbhai Carpenter and wife Maniben of Coventry, Bhagubhai Naran and wife Bhikhiben of Ashton- Under-Lyne and Ishverbhai Ravjibhai and his wife Ramilaben of Birmingham. Because of ill health, Ishverbhai and his wife were unable to attend. Speeches were delivered by the guests.
After this, as the first speaker was getting ready, Natubhai sang a wellknown old song where he requested all to join. They loved it. Dr. Rahul then gave a serious talk on Prostate Cancer,
