financial support to our community
without question. Today we are the
living testimony here in England
and other parts of the developed
world. Because of them we have
a high standard of living, food at
the table, and are financially secure
for ourselves and our children. I
am requesting, no, I am asking our
community to help us continue the
legacy of our forefathers. I hope that
together we can bring back that
community spirit. If you are one of
these individuals reading this report,
why not contact us.
Need Specialist
Volunteers
We are looking for volunteers in
design, branding, IT and marketing
to help us put together effective
marketing communications to our
wider community. We need help to
raise our profile to our community
here in England, as well as in India
and worldwide, but at present we
don’t have these necessary skill sets
and I am hoping that members will
come forward and work with us.
Finally
SPAITF is the front window
for people to see that we as a
community and charity are actively
working for the benefit of our
community. Our funds are managed
well and the treasurer is constantly
looking for the best and safest place
to invest our hard earned funds.
There are a number of committee
members whose skills helps us to
keep this programme in check and
transparent. Don’t get me wrong,
we still have challenges, but we are
working to overcome them.
I think it is very important to
mention the dedication and
commitment of all the SPAITF
trustees. Whilst we only meet twice
a year, the work involved is quite
detailed and sensitive. It would
be remiss of me not to mention
a couple of members who have
been very helpful and supportive
to me during my first year as
secretary: Nathukaka N Mistry
(Nairobi trustee), Hansaben (Chair),
Ashockbhai Mistry (Luton) and
Eleshbhai Mistry (London).
I would also like to thank Vasantbhai
(Rugby) whose practical approach
and wisdom reminds me why we
should be involved in helping our
community members.
In conclusion, I truly believe that if
we can secure regular income from
our wider community members we
can make a huge difference. We
w ere recently contacted by our
Prajapati organisation in Canada
to see if we can work together
and if this initiative were to prove
successful, I would like us to link
with America, South Africa, New
Zealand and Australia.
We are open to ideas and
suggestions – you don’t have to be
on the committee to be involved,
there are many ways members of
Prajapati community can help us
and work with us. We are involved
in something fantastic and I would
like us all to be part of this incredible
success story.

Why is a car’s windscreen so large and the rear-view mirror so small?
Because our past is not as important as our future.
So look ahead and move on.
