There are other dating events.... from third
party providers, but I have to say that the
‘mingle’ ones have come up tops!
What participants said about the February 2013 event:
“I had a really good time yesterday. Had the chance to meet and network with lots of fellow Mistry’s. I was really impressed with
the turn out as well. I thought there would of only been about 20 or 15 girls but I was shocked when I found out they had nearly 40
girls there and I got to talk to each one. Was a real good mix of people.”
“Had a really fun time. Great to see so many new faces!”
“My first time at one of these events and have to say it was really well organised. Credit to Anilbhai and the team for all their hard
work. Definitely surpassed my expectations. I went along on my own but it was great to meet and ‘mingle’ with some new and old
faces, many of whom I only know from their posts in the (Facebook) group”
“I had a lovely afternoon and met some quite nice/interesting guys.”
Singles Event
Namaste – Jai Shree Krishna,
w
ould you believe that we
have been organising
these events since 2010
and the interest gets bigger and
bigger! We have had many singles
connecting and networking since
our first event 3 years ago.
The sixth Single? Let’s Mingle! event
took place on 9th March 2013 at
Walsall Football Club. Luckily this
time there was no snow to be seen
(unlike the event held in February
2012!). Nearly 80 tickets were sold
and we were impressed by the number
of single Prajapatis within our Samaj
who were keen to attend. Again, there
was more demand for male tickets
and we had to turn people down, so
guys get your skates on and purchase
a ticket early for future events! The
event started in the evening and went
into the night. This time we thought
26
Mingling in 2013
we’d try something different and have
a DJ. Although, a few people stayed on
to enjoy the music, not everyone did
which was disappointing. But those
that did stay had a great time and were
able to carry on their mingling!
The next event was due to take place
on 31st August 2013 in the bar at SPA
Leicester (SPAL) hall. Sports Day was
also held on this day and SPAL had
organised a Sports Day After Party in
the evening. After discussions with the
Sport’s Team and SPAL, it was agreed
that it would be beneficial to our
members to hold a singles event on the
same day (between events). People
registered for the event beforehand,
but unfortunately the event did not go
ahead. It was disap
