Price isn’t king

Do you remember your parents telling you “You get what you pay for.” And as the older we get I can’t help thinking that statement gets truer and truer. I just had a friend text me as asking what is the price at a nearby med spa was selling Botox at?

Seriously first of all I am not a trade broker for Botox and secondly my answer to her was to research what you are getting. There is a lot of hype of injectables and I am not here lobbying for or against, what I am here for is sometimes inconsistent things happen in the spa industry. Things are diluted and not pure or used as they should be so it isn’t like buying bananas. Its not always about price when someone has things on a big sale I would worry, is the product expiring or is it diluted or is it something that it’s not. Ask friends and check out reviews online. You know the phrase “I’m just saying,” well it’s true.

Best gift for the person that has everything

People are always asking me what to buy their friends or colleagues. I should have been a personal shopper. Do you have a friend or someone at work that seems to have everything? I think I might have the perfect answer to some gift giving conundrums. I can’t help thinking about this TV show I was watching, it’s a new HGTV show called Buying the View http://www.wnetwork.com/living/lakeside-manor-oakville

And in this particular episode this young couple in their early thirties were looking at buying a five million dollar house. I realize that's not an everyday occurrence or I don’t even have a close friend in that snack bracket but they seemed to have had everything. My thought is to give a spa experience as a gift. Maybe the recipients that seem to have everything have never had a facial or pedicure together and probably not. These items aren’t too terrible expensive but give them a relationship experience and something they will talk about for a long time.
