Sugar of the Nile is a manufacturing and distributing company specializing in an entire line of sugar pastes and products, located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. All products contain 100% organic ingredients, paraben free and not tested on animals.
Owner, Emily Cesario is extremely passionate on educating proper sugaring techniques. This is what motivates Emily to grow her company. A love for teaching, Emily first received her teaching degree from the University of Manitoba and pursued teaching high school. Emily’s entrepreneurial mother created Sugar of the Nile in 2002. Needing help in her two year old budding business in 2004 Emily joined her mother at Sugar of the Nile by becoming an educator. Emily continued her love of teaching at Sugar of the Nile, and helping the company grow. In 2013, Emily's mother retired, Emily jumped at the opportunity to take over the company and make it her own, carrying on her mother’s vision.
Sugar of the Nile offers their own manufactured brands of sugar pastes, skin cleansers, “In B Gone,” an ingrown hair reducer, body mists and creams. Emily is extremely excited for their newest product, a powder, because it is an arrowroot base, containing absolutely no talc. As well, a smaller version of the Calm Skin Mist and Re-Vitalizing Cream for home use to care for guests sugared skin.
Visiting a spa for a Sugar of the Nile treatment guests can expect the following: a skin cleanser to prepare area to be treated, then the powder applied to absorb any moisture. The sugar is applied by the sugaring specialist through their fingertips and applied to the area have hair removed. A gentle flick, the sugar and hair is removed. A cool cloth is applied to the area, then the mist and a cream. Not only is hair removal that can last up to 4 weeks, it is exfoliation and hydration for the treated area.
Continuing her “Hairstyle, Lifestyle” motto, Emily will continue to spread the word and educate as many people as she can reach on the benefits of Sugaring.
