n aesthetician by trade, Gayle Tidball has been the in the spa industry since 1988. Her career encompassed teaching aesthetics

and then working for dermatologists. Later she was a rep for a skincare line, and during her sales career Gayle helped clients with various aspects of running a spa. She came to the realization that she could run her own spa with all of her experiences in the industry.

Her vision was to have an urban look, with a warm and cozy at-home feeling for her clients. The spa is designed with brown pillars and glass accents throughout. The services range from aesthetics, facials, massages, body treatments (including Vichy shower), medical aesthetics, and a wide variety of packages – including bridal.

Since opening in 2008 Gayle says, “the response really has overwhelmed me and we never expected to be so well received. We offer lots of couples and group treatments – such as friends and mother/daughter facials – which expanded fast for us. There wasn’t anyone else that offered a big-city-type spa that was professional and offered top-of-the-line services.”

The spa has 16 staff that can take care of large groups. The Glass and Pillar Spa is known for its Sparty packages. Groups – whether corporate, bridal or a birthday celebration – can book a variety of services and the spa can accommodate up to 40 people at a time. There is even a wonderful lunch, and a dining menu so you don’t leave hungry!

“We use Laboratoire Dr. Renaud, and their chemical peels are really effective. We also offer Eminence Organics and we have been able to help clients with skin allergies and irritations with this natural line. I started skincare at 13 and had acne treatments that never worked. I then bought a home-use skincare kit with a simple cleanser, toner and a mask way back when. That good skincare regimen worked for me – not all that other stuff.”

The atmosphere, vision and staff are what make The Glass and Pillar Spa one of the outstanding spas you must visit. It definitely needs to be on your ‘spa to-do list’!
