Work Experience
SMI
Within the time I was living in Canada I was a housewife who simply watched and picked up bits and pieces of the franchise that my husband was expanding. With complications with his Korean business I was given the task to oversee and control the company while he was absent. Although this was a grand task at hand I knew I was capable of handling this job. Of course through the times I had to over come many issues and learn to work in a different style than I was used to. I was able to use my art background to invest some time into areas which were not developed in his company yet. This greatly expanded the company’s horizon and created a new concept for the franchise. Although there were hard times I greatly cherish these memories of trial and error because it taught me a valuable lesson within the modern workplace; this was how to work alongside co-workers. I really got to understand how to share tasks and how to communicate so everyone got to express their opinions and how they felt about certain tasks at hand. Not only this but also what everyone’s weakness and strengths were and acknowledging this and implementing the correct and most well suited tasks for every person. I learn many valuable things just simply because I was adapting to an unfamiliar situation.
