Keep in mind that not all water filters available in the market are unable to remove
viruses, though most of them are capable of filtering out bacteria, parasites like
protozoa, and other microorganisms.
This video shows how water filters work:
WATER PURIFICATION
for the Unprepared Survivalist
1. Soil/Sand Filter
A primitive way of
filtering water is using
soil or sand. To make
this happen, you have to
create a makeshift filter.
Step 1: Get a water container and place your shirt
over its mouth.
Step 2: Place sand or soil on top of the cloth. You
now have a makeshift water filter.
Step 3: Pour the water over the filter to remove
sediments and particles. Repeat this step until you
have clear water.
