AGM
The annual AGM was held on Saturday 25th June, and it was a well
attended event with an overview of the classes and projects supported
by Edinburgh Council CLD staff and the centre’s own volunteer
management committee. An overview of planned upgrades to the
building and facilities was outlined, but set against the uncertainty of
just how much financial support Edinburgh Council could continue
to provide in the coming months as cuts to their financial budget take
effect.
Fortunately, wise management of separate funds by the independent
management committe have left this centre possibly better equipped
than many to deal with these financial challenges.
The rather inclement weather of the day unfortunately moved a
planned outdoor barbecue indoors. but the weather did brighten up
enough later to allow people to move outdoors where they were
entertained by Nelson Hall Gospel Choir.
