Visit Southern West Virginia proudly announces the launch of the new Brews and Booze Trail. This gamified trail is accessed through the Brews and Booze Trail digital passport. This new experience encourages travelers and locals alike to visit the craft breweries, wineries, and distilleries of Southern West Virginia.
The Brews and Booze Trail features ten partnering businesses, with some offering special deals to passport holders. When users check in on their passport while visiting businesses, they earn points that can be redeemed for prizes. Each stop is worth 25 points. For 50 points, Brews and Booze Trail explorers can earn a 5” vinyl sticker featuring the Visit Southern West Virginia Brews and Booze Trail possum logo. For 75 points, pass holders can earn a cork-back coaster featuring the signature design. The premium prize, worth 125 points, is a 12-oz wine tumbler. The tumbler features the signature possum logo and boasts a double-wall vacuum seal that keeps beverages at the ideal temperature for hours.
Many of the locations on the Brews and Booze Trail are award-winning establishments, each offering its unique flavors to guests. Breweries included on the trail are Bridge Brew Works in Fayetteville, Gad Dam Brewing in Summersville, Greenbrier Valley Brewing Company in Lewisburg, and Weathered Ground Brewery in Ghent. Trail followers can taste the smooth bourbons and hard liquors of Isaiah Morgan Distillery in Summersville and Smooth Ambler in Lewisburg. Lastly, the bountiful flavors of Southern West Virginia’ s wineries will have you wanting more. Winery stops on the Brews and Booze Trail include Daniel Vineyards in Beckley, Hawk Knob Appalachian Hard Cider in Lewisburg, Kirkwood Winery in Summersville, and Old World Libations in Union.
