Last week the Highland Police
Department and the Highland School
District joined forces with the local ice
cream parlor, Frozen Caboose, to raise
money for a program in the Elementary
school
called
Positive
Behavior
Intervention & Support [PBIS].
School Superintendent Thomas
Bongiovi gave credit to Patrick Boyd,
Director of Pupil Personnel Services,
for initiating the program that he said,
“helps to create a positive environment
for our Elementary School, so some of
the money goes to put on activities and
assemblies and prizes for kids.”
Boyd said each of the three schools
in the district hold their own distinct
fundraisers for the PBIS program.
