very year the Marlboro chapter of
UNICO hosts the St. Joseph Day
fundraising dinner but this year was
particularly special, not only because
of the sellout crowd for an Italian style
dinner but because 2018 marks the
organization’s 30th anniversary. The
chapter was established in Marlborough
on February 27, 1988.
Giuseppe Piccolo attended some of the
initial meetings of UNICO but it wasn’t
until five years ago that he became a
board member.
“I think it’s a great organization and
we give a lot of money away to the local
community,” he said. “I am very proud to
be part of this organization that helps so
many people.”
Ed Molinelli joined in the early years
of UNICO, saying he was in his 20s at the
time and grew up with the people who are
in UNICO.
“To give back to the community, that’s
what you want to do,” he said. “I try to do
the best I can and I really feel for the older
