NYS Assembly Speaker Carl E. Heastie spoke
of his professional and personal friendship
with Frank Skartados. Mici Simonofsky said Frank Skartados rep-
resented his community every day that he
served as an Assemblyman.

A special ceremony was held for the
late NYS Assemblyman Frank Skartados
last Friday night for family, friends and
colleagues at the DiDonato Funeral Home
in Marlboro. Skartados passed away from
pancreatic cancer on April 15 at the age
of 62. He immigrated from Greece at
the age of 14, became a U.S. Citizen in
1976, earned several educational degrees,
established a small business and won a
seat in the NYS Assembly, representing
the 104th District.
