The San Antonio ARC praise band
led the delegation in worship, bringing
the room to its feet as the evening
concluded with a special musical
performance by staff and beneficiaries
of the ARC program who marched out
singing, “I went to the enemy’s gate

On Friday evening, the children
and teens of the youth conference
performed Blood & Fire Works, a
musical written and directed by
Bethany Farrell.
This year also marked the conclusion
of J.P. Long’s three-year term as
territorial sergeant-major. He addressed
the territory’s soldiers in a brief speech
on Tuesday evening.
“I prayed that God would use me in
some way over the past few years, and
he’s done just that,” Long said. “It has
been a pleasure to serve.”
Long was replaced by the newly
appointed TSM John Reeves from the
Alexandria, Virginia, Corps, who was
installed by Commissioner Don Bell
during the Saturday evening service
which featured several forms of
creative arts ministry, including spoken
word, sand art and a special musical
performance by the Wiltshire family.

message, reminding those present to
stay connected to God, and all that they
had learned, in the days ahead.
“The only way we move forward is

if we are sustained by the sustainer,”
he said. “If you try to sustain yourself
by yourself, you will be lost. The fire on
the altar must be kept burning.”
