This year also marked the conclusion of J.P. Long’s three-year term as territorial sergeant-major. He addressed the territory’s soldiers in a brief speech on Tuesday evening. “I prayed that God would use me in some way over the past few years, and he’s done just that,” Long said. “It has been a pleasure to serve.” Long was replaced by the newly appointed TSM John Reeves from the Alexandria, Virginia, Corps, who was installed by Commissioner Don Bell during the Saturday evening service which featured several forms of creative arts ministry, including spoken word, sand art and a special musical performance by the Wiltshire family.
