Atlanta Peachcrest celebrates, rededicates
Corps observes
40th anniversary
The celebration of the 40th
Anniversary of the Atlanta Peachcrest
Corps and Boys & Girls Club ended
on a high note on Sunday, Oct. 4
as the congregation joined Captain
Sally Broughton and the cadets of the
Evangeline Booth College in singing
“Total Praise.” It was a moment
charged with emotion and praise to a
God who has been faithful to Peachcrest
for 40 years.
The weekend started off on Friday
evening with an open house in the
Boys & Girls Club followed by a music
extravaganza coordinated by YPSM
Nikky Green, featuring vocalists, brass
musicians and praise dancers from
local corps, churches and the Peachcrest
Corps. Major Algerome Newsome
chaired the meeting and gave the
devotional. The Saturday basketball
tournaments were well attended. At the
end of the day Peachcrest Corps Boys &
Girls Club team emerged victorious.
Sunday was the culmination of the
