Q. What is your full name, age, hometown, occupation, & social media handles?
A. My name is Victoria Christine Outley,(fb). I’m 22 years old and I’m from Jersey
City, New Jersey. My occupation is RMA (Registered Medical Assistant).
Q. How many pageants have you competed in previously, and how many did you
win?
A. This is my first pageant, I’ve always wanted to compete but I was always told I
was too big and that no one would support me.
Q.What peeked your interest in the Miss SC Plus Size Pageant?
A. I was interested in the MSCPSA pageant because it showed to be something
for us by us. A lot of times pageants I see are specifically for girls of this size,
weigh this much, look exactly like this and was much different. These ladies, the
beautiful ladies look like me. Even though they come in all shapes and sizes. Tall,
short, apple-shaped, hourglass, pear, they all looked like me and welcomed me
in with open arms. Encouraging me every step on the way.
Q. If you were selected as the 2018 Miss SC Plus Size what would that mean for
you?
A. If I was selected at Miss Plus Size America, I would mean the world to me. I
haven’t wanted to compete in pageants my whole life but was always told no so
to not only compete but win would be life changing for me
Q. What would be your first order of business Miss. SC Plus Size?
A. My first order or business would be to hold a charity event / luncheon to
support single moms throughout South Carolina, whether it’s paying a bill, filling
a home with food, daycare expenses, buying Christmas gifts, or school supplies
things that are often over looked but are the most important and make the
biggest difference; but I would also to make donations to the charities of my
fellow ladies. It’s about the community and helping those around us that’s the
bigger picture.
Q. Is there any awareness topic that is close to your heart that you will be
promoting with your crown?
A. Yes, there is. Actually my platform is centered on a topic that is near and dear
to my heart. It’s an organization called S.H.E. Which stand for Supporting Her
Endlessly, It all about out women supporting each. In the United States women
are already treated differently and paid less than men. If we are able to help
each other succeed why not do it. The smallest change in the support we give
each other can make a big difference and not just financially but emotionally,
spiritually, and just genuine support
Q. As you plan for the pageant, what do you think would be your biggest
contribution to society as Miss. SC Plus Size?
A. I think my biggest contribution is how genuine I am. I am not doing this for the
crown or to be acknowledged but I really want to make a difference in the lives
of single moms and women all around the world. I genuine want to see women
make it.
