In mid-January , the Southern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce officially moved into the Corbin Center from the home they had had since 2017 in the office complex at 1610 Cumberland Falls .

In mid-January , the nonprofit organization officially moved into the Corbin Center from the home they had had since 2017 in the office complex at 1610 Cumberland Falls .

It ’ s been an interesting journey for the chamber , which launched in 2009 from the merger of the Corbin and Williamsburg chambers of commerce and can now boast some 250 member businesses . Initially , the Southern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce operated out of the former L & N Railway Depot in Corbin , which now serves as the Corbin Tourism and Convention Commission ’ s welcome center . In fact , their move at the end of 2022 from the Corbin Center to downtown allowed the chamber the opportunity to relocate .

“ We have office space and a board room ,” Executive Assistant Stephanie Giles-Hussey said , adding an extra perk that the facility hosts chamber lunches when they are not held in Williamsburg .

The move is also fortuitous in that the center is now operated by the Corbin Industrial Development Commission , which shares a staff with the Southern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce .
