Mick Kahl knows a thing or two about repairing cars . His childhood home was next to his father ’ s business , Kahl ’ s Body Shop . He spent a lot of his time around the profession . “ We ’ ve always been in this business ,” he said .
The New Albany native says he
enjoyed the work growing up and had “ always liked fixing things . In 1978 , 24 years after his father opened the shop at 2801 Mt . Tabor Road , Kahl took over the operation . Forty years after Kahl took over and 68 years after it first opened , customer service and pristine work remain pillars of the shop ’ s values .
“ We do a lot of collision repair . After a car has been in an accident , we put it back to factory specs ,” Kahl said . But that ’ s not all they do . The New Albany business offers a wide range of services to customers from body work and dent removal / repair to automotive painting , pinstriping and custom design work .
Whether it ’ s a foreign or domestic vehicle , the guys at Kahl ’ s can get it done while keeping the customer ’ s safety in mind . The shop is dedicated to helping everyone and every vehicle . They can
