A business that spans generations enjoys the advantage of watching how the industry changes . No industry has changed more in the last several years than the business of keeping and managing records on forms . From paper forms with carbon copies to web-based technology , collecting , organizing , and retrieving information has advanced at lightning speeds .
No one knows that better than the Stewart family , owners of Voluforms , a privately held , family-owned forms management company . Voluforms started in the garage of Charles Stewart at his home in Sellersburg . Charles retired from the business in 2003 .
Rapid growth and the need for warehouse space found the business moving to the Jeffersonville Industrial Park in
1984 . Another three years would find the business moving to a larger location in the Park . From 2000-2008 , the company ran a satellite office in the industrial park of Commerce Crossing in Louisville .
When Voluforms started , the primary focus was volume purchasing to help financial institutions reduce printing costs by producing standardizes forms . Now the company also focuses on business forms , commercial printing , advertising and marketing products , branded apparel , warehouse and distribution services , and online forms fulfillment platforms . Voluforms has become a full-service vendor partnering with a multitude of business sectors .
Competitiveness in the printing industry is the major challenge for Charles Stewart ’ s sons , Michael and Mark , the current owners . They pride themselves on affordable printing , but the brothers

know Voluforms must offer more than just the lowest price . They need to provide face-to-face , unmatched customer service in an increasingly “ faceless ” world of technology . Voluforms uses technology to stay competitive but depend on relationships and communication to thrive .
