lockers for pickup, which can be
accessed 24 hours a day.
“There’s so much with technology
now that if we can keep the
stores at 40 hours and give 24-hour
access, sometimes you can give
people better service that way, too,”
Brandon said. “Adapt and diversify,
and take advantage of technology.”
It’s this model — to understand
the need for change and be willing
to take the steps to make it happen
— that has allowed Nu-Yale to
grow when other companies didn’t
survive those early cultural shifts.
“Most of them didn’t change,”
Gary said. “We’ve constantly
changed. They did what they did
and didn’t think about the market
changing.”
