Through contributions from Caesars Southern Indiana Casino , the foundation has awarded $ 51.6 million to local organizations through annual grants , scholarships and major grants . The foundation has contributed to economic development with over $ 4 million in low interest loans to Floyd County small businesses .
During the pandemic , the Caesars Foundation has stepped up in multiple ways . The organization partnered with One Southern Indiana , Blue Sky Foundation , local governments , Community Foundation of Southern Indiana , , and many other corporate , and individual donors , to raise funds to assist small businesses . Finn noted , “ When the COVID-19 pandemic struck our community ,
Caesars Foundation had the advantage of systems in place and legal status to quickly provide the vehicle for small business support and recovery . The Small Business Revolving Loan Committee was able to quickly provide the vehicle for this work . The foundation was able to pivot and respond to the critical needs of small businesses which were shattered because of the coronavirus .”
The Southern Indiana partners worked with other organizations to loan more than $ 1.1 million to local businesses during the pandemic .
The Foundation , which is chartered in perpetuity , has investments which provide income as well as the annual gifts from Caesars Southern Indiana Casino . To date , the Casino has contributed $ 65 million to the foundation .
The Floyd County community is fortunate to have such a philanthropic partner doing good forever .

Students of Mrs . Crawford ’ s enrichment class add bags of mulch to cover the base of the sculpture they created to represent the various arts at Scribner Middle School . The project was made possible through a grant from the Caesars Foundation of Floyd County and through assistance by New Albany ’ s ArtSeed .
