Meanwhile, he is already pivot-
ing his thinking to what else needs
to be done to meet the needs of an
ever-changing economy. So far,
he’s heard that he needs to con-
sider adding construction and hos-
pitality to Ivy Tech’s repertoire.
“I think people are … getting
reacquainted with us,” Haire said.
“That they understand Ivy Tech
can solve some of those problems
and are helping us to connect with
those folks out in the community.”
The chancellor embraces that
dynamic.
“If we can make lives better for
Hoosiers, that’s what this is really
all about,” Haire said.
