“Articles at a time for free is kind of the
point. No one has to buy my book, but I
want to be able to contribute something,”
Takami explained. “It’s nice that the cul-
ture of these young people have so much
heart, but I think they also have a lot to
learn.”
He hopes to help teach them, as so many
have taught and mentored him along his
journey.
“What to do when it’s your turn —
people pouring into you, learning, grow-
ing, realizing that you better do your best,
because there may be someone walking in
your footsteps or may be someone looking
at you,” Takami said.
The married father of three said he
knows that all so well.
As he looked up to his father.
And he hopes his kids look up to him,
as well.
