The lap of honour on our own was my
favourite bit as we galloped flat out up
the long side of the arena, losing my
rosettes along the way. I know the likes
of Boyd Exell and Daniel Naprous like
to chuck their rosettes into the crowd,
but I was firmly keeping hold of mine (so
drove around again to collect them !)
The party back at the camp that evening
was brilliant as everyone enjoyed a
BBQ and reflected on the events of
the day. Being a newbie to the sport,
it was lovely that so many people
congratulated us on our win and said
how wonderful Tiff was.
The next day was the second rounds
and the Championship decider. Again
we were given our call to ‘put to’ by
Ivor our leader and trekked down in
convoy, giving a few of the eventers in
the warm up ring something to spook
about. Thankfully the riders just laughed
and smiled as the horse underneath
