Simmering Scents for the Christmas Season

I love holiday candles and scents ! You ’ ll usually find some sort of candle burning at our home all throughout the holiday season . I just love the cozy atmosphere it creates ! However , there are times when the candles are put away and simmer pots full of wonderful herbs , spices and fruits are put on the stove top . Nothing can compete with the gorgeously delicious aromas that fill the house when these all natural ingredients warm and simmer .
I love giving little gift bags full of ingredients for cozy simmer pots to friends and family too ! They make thoughtful little hostess gifts that say “ thank you for having us over ,” as well as perfect party favors to send home with your special guests .
To make a holiday simmer pot gift , simply use the recipe card below and add ingredients to a clear treat bag . Tie with a bow , add a gift tag and you ’ re ready to give a little a bit of the holidays !
To use the ingredients , simply empty them into a small crock pot or sauce pan on the stove top . Cover with water . Turn the heat on low and breathe deep as the spices warm and fill your home !
There ’ s nothing like the smells of the holiday to create a warm and welcoming home ! And with a simmer pot , you can give beautiful gifts that will help friends and family deck the halls too .
