The Profitts are at the forefront of Southern Gospel Music in one of the hotbeds of the genre in the nation and have been for a very long time.
The Profitts have been singing together for 36 years and show no signs of slowing down now.
The group’s Gospel roots are deep. Jim sang with his parents for many years prior to Shirley joining the family.
In 2002, Jim and Shirley joined the Sonshine Promotions family of gospel artists.
Their music and ministry have been blessed with numerous awards throughout the years. They have been nominated among the Top 5 for duet of the year three years running by “Christian Voice” magazine.
In 2012, when approached by Southern Gospel Gathering Founder Mitchell Burch, Jim and Shirley joined SGG family as one of the founding members of the growing music ministry.
While accolades are nice, the most important aspect of The Profitts ministry are the lives that have been touched over the past 36 years. The duo has been privileged to witness 100’s of souls saved through the power of Jesus Christ.
