Comfort for guests on and off the playing fields is essential to the Burnside Island experience. Blevins extended the clubhouse ' s lounging area to the scenic backyard overlooking the nearby practice area.
" We have a patio area that is open on Fridays and weekends where we have food and beverage for golfers as they come by the clubhouse during or after their round," said Blevins. The combination of refreshments, club apparel, and views truly makes the site a onestop-( Pro) Shop for visiting golf enthusiasts.
As a key Pulaski County tourist spot, Burnside Island stays open year-round to accommodate guests, but operating hours are seasonal. As Blevins explained, " Our tee times change monthly by the hours of daylight. During the peak times of the year, we have tee times that start as early as 7 a. m. and as late as 6:30 p. m. Our driving range and practice facility stays open all day."
There is varied pricing for rounds at the course depending on the day of the week, player age, time of play, and other discounts as available. Current regular pricing stands at: Monday-Thursday($ 50 per player for 18 holes with cart use included); Friday-Sunday($ 58 per player for 18 holes with cart use included); and $ 5 buckets of driving range balls.
Burnside Island caters to incoming tourists by partnering with certain local hotels to offer " Stay and Play Packages " for lower lodging and recreation prices.
