Serendipity at The Orange Door opens its doors at new location
With fan-favorite food and new dishes as well
By Shane Morgan
One of Somerset ' s favorite dining venues , Serendipity at The Orange Door , has opened up in a new location and is inviting old and new customers alike to enjoy its pleasant , home-like atmosphere and its variety of personallycrafted dining options .
The restaurant previously located in downtown Somerset on East Mt . Vernon Street is now found at 113 Trade Park Drive , just off South U . S . 27 at stoplight no . 8 .
Two big welcome mats as you enter the front doors say it all : " Welcome
Family and Friends !" Sara Waddle and husband and business partner John Waddle have grown a loyal customer base over the last decade for the Serendipity brand , delighting patrons in their former locations downtown and in the western Pulaski County community of Nancy previous as well .
The couple has solidified the loyalty of their patronage through consistent focus on quality of the food and service , and by providing an ambience of downhome warmth where the line between customer and one-of-the-family is not always so clear .
" Our customers are A +!" beamed Sara . " They truly are like family ."
Sara said Serendipity ' s customers can expect some of the same great food they enjoyed at the downtown location , and also an ever-expanding list of dishes with new menu selections .
Serendipity is also bringing back a customer favorite , Fish Friday , she added .
Beloved menu preferences such as Serendipity ' s succulent prime rib and ribeye , as well as their good ol ' fashioned country cooking , will continue to be mainstay offerings .
The new location ' s set-up provides opportunity for various possibilities
