Where to get the food of love this Valentine ' s Day

Valentine ' s Day is an occasion for sweethearts ... and the sweet toothed .
According to research from capitaloneshopping . com , candy is the most purchased Valentine ' s Day gift , by 57 % of 140 million gift shoppers . That ' s a lot of candy and chocolate — and there ' s plenty of it to be found in Pulaski County , aside from the pre-packaged heart-shaped boxes you can buy at the store . If you ' re in downtown Somerset , perhaps the most convenient place to get a really high-end chocolate treat is the Mole Hole . The boutique store located on the Fountain Square carries a selection of chocolates all year — but it ' s perhaps February when their array of treats really shines .
" We carry gourmet artisan truffles , bourbon balls — we make our bourbon balls in-house — peanut butter , caramels , toffees , that sort of thing ," said Tammy Hoehler , owner of the Mole Hole and its associated bar , the Tipsy Toad .
" For Valentine ' s Day , we will have some speciality truffles , probably chocolate-covered Oreos , chocolatecovered pretzels , chocolate-covered strawberries , cherries ," she added . " We might even do some grapes if I can find enough hours in the day ."
