Thannoli , Lake Cumberland ( Regional ) Hospital to all the team at Baptist Health , I felt like I was in good hands and they really cared about me and I was treated so good ."
Dorsey continues to see his cardiologists twice a year and has received clean checkups every year and feels better than he has in a long time .
And in looking at how things turned out , he said the heart problem turned out to be a blessing because they found the root cause of his infection and treated it earlier than it would otherwise have been treated .
" Going up there with the heart problem was probably a blessing really , because the infectious disease doctor was able to identify the cause of the infection ," he said . "... You don ' t ever want to have heart surgery , but how long would I have been sick before they figured out what was causing the infection if I hadn ' t had to go ? I don ' t know , but it all worked out .
" I ' m just glad to get rid of it and feel good again ," he added . " You don ' t really know what good feels like until you have felt bad for a long time and it goes away ."
