Brought to you by the Golden Goose Club , Oskaloosa Main Street Iowa and funded by Mahaska County Community Foundation .
We will have souvenir coloring books , cookies and cocoa , gift basket drawings , favorite window contest and a book signing by Author Taylor Dishman , age 13 .
Local artists have created the posters telling the story and K-2 elementary students have created the paper chains draping all the windows downtown around the square .
Tour Committee : Vicky Collette , Linda Cohrt and Kara Weishaar , along with other members of the Golden Goose Club have volunteered to help make this event possible .
The Golden Goose Club is aMahaskaCountyladies ’ organization made up of generous members who donate $ 100 per calendar quarter and then vote on community improvementprojectspresentedtothem . Theproject receiving the most votes get the funding forthat quarter . The organization wascreatedin 2016 and at the present time they consist of 170 members . To date , their contributions to the community totals $ 251,627 plus many projectsqualified forthe George Daily Matching Funds .
