Emilie Kefalas
Angela Hopper-Lee
Angela Hopper-Lee has been in Savannah for almost 20
years! She is a graduate of SCAD with a degree in photography
and minor in drawing. Primarily, Angela focuses on family,
pet and commercial photography. Her love of the arts also
includes the Savannah Philharmonic in which she has been
singing for 14 years. She and her husband Wayne Lee plan to
open a dual-purpose photography and moving arts studio in
2019 on their property on Wilmington Island! They are looking
forward to offering new services to clients in the near future.

Emilie Kefalas is an experienced
writer and journalist based in
Burbank, California. Originally from
Decatur, Illinois, she has contributed
to South Magazine, Savannah
Scene & Savannah.com, Connect
Savannah, DoSavannah, and ANNA
Magazine to name a few. An alumnus
of SCAD’s writing program, Emilie
currently works with the external
communications team at Disney
Parks, Experiences, and Consumer
Products. On the side, she freelances
for South and Automotive Internet
Media, and runs her video baking
blog, RandEm Recipes. Read about
Russell Dickerson in “So Fit to Be A
Star” on page 30.
Jordan is a writer and the associate
editor at South Magazine. As a SCAD
student and Savannah local she has
been writing for local magazines for
the past four years. When she’s not
writing, she’s usually working on film
projects or taking out another loan to
travel around the world. As Editor at
Large, she’s written several pieces,
just look for that byline.
Jim Reed
Jim Reed has been an active par-
ticipant in — and commentator on
— our local music and film scenes
since 1986. A native of Kingsport,
Tennessee, he served as entertain-
ment editor of Connect Savannah for
close to a decade and currently pens
a weekly column on cinema for Do
Savannah. Since 2003 he has served
as executive and artistic director
of the award-winning Psychotronic
Film Society. He thinks way too much
about Bob Dylan. Read “Renais-
sance Man” on page 38.

Amanda Surowitz
Amanda Surowitz is a Georgia trans-
plant from Virginia. After earning her
B.F.A. in Writing, she continues to
write for a living and for a passion.
When she’s not writing or revising one
of her drafted novels, she enjoys run-
ning, yoga and losing sleep over true
crime stories. Her other hobbies in-
clude drawing, painting, cooking and
role-playing games. See her work in
“Home Grown” on page 78.
