Lisa Allen Lisa Allen , a Detroit-area native now wisely living in Beaufort , has written and edited her way across the East . She ’ s been a newspaper editor and an environmental magazine editor . She has written about business , travel , golf and whatever else arose in the course of a news day . But no place comes close to the trove of fascinating stories that permeate the Lowcountry . Wayne Waters Wayne Waters is a Savannah-based independent journalist with a degree in journalism and a powerful sense of curiosity who has been writing for national and regional publications for a decade . He ’ s addressed a broad range of topics for diverse readerships in a variety of publications including American History , American Songwriter , Atlanta Journal-Constitution , Home & Away , the official Georgia Travel Guide , and many more . Kriste Sanders Kriste Sanders is a freelance writer and has produced numerous features for South magazine , and has served as a contributing editor . She is a graduate of UGA and has been freelance writing for more than 15 years .
