I used Artaud’s poetry because I wanted a vehicle to show my anger and he was the angriest poet there was. I had three children at home and I felt women artists were getting a raw deal. My work changed when I became active within the women’s movement, Women Artists in Revolution. In Images Of Women 1985, I use images of women to represent woman as protagonist and hero.
