Though Tiftarea has a full department of linemen , fans should expect to see many two-way players at all other positions . Soliday said Moore , Malone , Crosson and Brown will be in the secondary . Malone was the squad ’ s second leading tackler in 2021 at 73 and he also forced a fumble .
Youth will play a big part in the Panthers ’ plans . “ I like this freshman group ,” he said . “ They work hard , they play hard .” The bulk of the numbers come from the freshmen and sophomores . “ If they keep growing up , I think we ’ ll be OK .”
To prepare this group , Soliday has been working them out mostly with public schools . They ’ ve seen Schley County , Wilcox County , Turner County and Irwin County , all strong public school programs . Wilcox will be on the regular season schedule , continuing the team ’ s recent string of playing a public school per season . Charlton County and Lanier County were previous opponents . n
