Little Malties at Maltman’s Green School
What better way to have a taste of life here at
Maltman’s Green Nursery, than to experience it first hand?
Little Malties provides an opportunity
for prospective parents to play with
their daughters in the stimulating
environment of our Nursery. You will
be welcomed by our expert staff who
will run the play sessions and give you
an insight into the life of a Maltman’s
Green Nursery girl.
Nursery provides the perfect start in
your daughter’s journey to becoming a
‘purple girl’.
From day one, the Nursery builds the
foundations for independence and
transition. It benefits from being linked
to Reception classes across a courtyard,
ensuring a strong Early Years identity.
The ethos of the school for each child
becoming an independent learner
begins in Nursery. All the teaching and
learning in the Early Years at Maltman’s
is underpinned by the Early Years
Foundation Stage (EYFS).
All the girls attend every morning
until 12:00 and it is the parents’ choice
as to how many full days their daughter
attends. Each week the girls have two
Music lessons with the Music
Specialist.
They also have one PE lesson and from
the February half term they start their
swimming lessons in our superb pool.
Outdoor learning is very much a part of
the EYFS and here at Maltman’s Green
School we embrace this alongside our
commitment to sustainability.
The Nursery girls use the courtyard
which they benefit from sharing with the
older, Reception girls. They also enjoy
using the apparatus on the spacious
Junior Playground.
As an essential part of the uniform
requirements throughout the school, we
make good use of wellies for exploring
our extensive grounds and wooded areas.
In 2015 Little Malties will be meeting on
Friday afternoons from 1:30-2:45pm on
1 May and 3 July 2015.
