The Benefits of Fostering

Fostering
Services
Every 22 minutes a child comes into care and needs a
foster family. With more foster carers urgently needed,
we’re asking you to find time to care...
We are inspected and approved by the
consortium of London Boroughs under
the regulations of the Pan London
Contract. We are also registered with
Ofsted in England and with the Care
and Social Services Inspectorate
Wales (CSSIW). Ofsted rated SFS as
‘Outstanding’ in our latest Inspection
Report (2013).
‘The quality of care is exceptional;
children and young people are thriving
within safe, loving households following
excellent matching practice.’

safe place, which for many children
and young people who are looked
after, is invaluable. As an Ofsted rated
‘outstanding’ organisation, we know
that without our diverse foster carer
team, we could not fulfil our ethos of
transforming the lives of children and
young people, so we actively invest in
recruiting, assessing and training our
foster carers to provide the care that is
needed.
Children come into the care system
for all sorts of reasons, with needs that
are individual to their experiences,
so we need foster carers from a range
of cultural, religious and ethnic
backgrounds, mixed age groups and both
single people and couples.
