A modern-day adventure for all, Star Chasers sees
Billy and Dad heading north with just a tent and a
box full of Mam’s memories.
Self-styled ‘star chasers’, they seek to bring mam’s
memory box to where ‘the sky dances’. On the way
they pitch their tent, Billy conjures Mam’s stories
and Dad struggles to keep emotions on an even
keel as they seek journey’s end and the hope of a
new beginning.
This is a rich exploration of the relationship
between a parent and child, and their attempts to
come to terms with the shared loss in their lives. A
tapestry of music, movement and magical imagery.
Star Chasers by Scott Young was commissioned by Barnstorm and first produced in 2017.
A play for children aged 5 to 8 years.

Schools out for summer as the song says - so it's time to feature some young local talent,
recently released.
Sam Rapoport and 5Day are a young band from County Tipperary who started gigging in 2016.
Playing a blend of Jazz, Soul, Folk
Rock and Pop, they perform original
music along with some covers and
have featured on a number of local
stages including Culture Night in The
Source and the Féile Beag Festival last
August.
Featuring Sam Rapoport on vocals,
guitar and sax, Mike Walsh on lead
guitar, Gavin Clancy on bass and Jack
Condon-drums, they recently
supported Seskin Lane and recorded
an EP of original tracks at Twin Oaks
Recording Studio.
