Sharon Shannon in Concert
Saturday
20 January
Time: 8pm
Price: €22.50
In 2017, Sharon Shannon returned with her brand-new album ‘Sacred Earth’,
her first new studio album in 3 years and her tenth studio album to date.
While she is best known for her arrangements of traditional Irish tunes,
Irish-influenced compositions and her work with various artists such as U2,
the Waterboys, The Chieftains, John Prine and Jackson Browne, she has
always been eager to explore new styles and to meet and work with other
musicians. ‘Sacred Earth’ cheerfully mixed in often unexpected styles from
around the world, including – for the first time - Africa.
With multi-platinum albums and awards behind her, Sharon live is a force
of nature and her visit to Thurles is a great opportunity to see her in an
intimate concert setting.
