It wasn ’ t that many years ago that FS PARTNERS hired a young university student by the name of Maggie Pendleton for a GROWMARK internship — May 2017 , to be exact .
At that time , Maggie was in her third year of a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture degree at the University of Guelph . The program focused on crop , horticulture and turfgrass , but Maggie was surprised to find enjoyment in some of the business courses that the university offered . Maggie made the switch to agriculture after originally taking a geology program at the University of Waterloo . She explains her transition by stating : “ The B . Sc . ( Agr .) program was a better fit for me : I grew up on a beef farm and enjoyed helping whenever needed .”
