A Shining New Showroom and Centralized Operations Space
The Centreville , Maryland location has been a flurry of activity the last few months , with a complete remodel underway . As the central location for the GROWMARK FS Delmarva Energy business , the building was previously a farm store in the Southern States network . Gone are the feed storage bins and supply store shelves , soon to be replaced by a brightly lit showroom to display fireplace inserts , stoves , generators , and more . Also part of the remodel plans are new offices and a conference room to service the hub of the region ’ s business planning .
With two million gallons of fuel and close to that volume in propane moving out of the space , Centreville sells three times as much volume as the Dagsboro location .
Centreville Market Operations Manager Billy Boyles brings another batch of experience to the location . Overseeing the showroom expansion , he also coordinates a very busy year-round operation .
“ We are doing 400 to 600 cleaning services every year ,” he says .
This year , an excavator was added to bring installation in house . With 75 to 100 tanks installed each year , the equipment will pay for itself in a very short time . Plus , it allows the Centreville team to manage the entire service and installation process for the customer , rather than waiting on outside contractors to do the work . The team is working to strike up more strategic partnerships with fuel oil tank installers to build a network of preferred service providers .
A sales-focused manager , Boyles is quick to point out all the products available in Centreville .
“ We offer auto gas , and dyed diesel , and we can blend 89 octane fuels right on site ,” he adds . ” Plus , we have a DEF fill station for better diesel engine efficiency .”
Pointing to a lot full of new and refurbished diesel and propane tanks , he notes , “ These tanks will all be out and installed in just a few weeks .”
